In infancy, communication and language skills develop rapidly. At this age the child has received and continues to receive a lot of stimuli from his/her environment and with the help of speech and language he/she connects with people and objects, interacts and communicates.
According to the child psychologist J. Piaget, in the fourth year of age, egocentric speech appears, in which the child speaks without taking into account the comments and opinions of others, while at the age of 4-5 years, the child begins to use socialized speech, i.e. exchanges opinions with other people, his vocabulary increases to around 3,000 words and uses increasingly correct grammatical and syntactic forms.
The kindergarten encourages children to cultivate their oral language and participate in discussions, gives them opportunities to become familiar with and come into contact with the various forms of writing and raises their awareness of how and why we write.
